The Fiji Times - Saturday, November 07, 2009 7:42 PM

THE Knights Brothers came from behind to defuse a strong challenge and edge the Waimanu Dream Team 14-10 in the under-19 final of the Suva 7sat Laucala today.

Waimanu was leading 10-0 when the Davuilevu boys managed to put their act together to display their strength in the second spell and overcame a spirited Waimanu outfit.

The Brothers combination comprises some of the winning 2009 Lelean Memorial School team which won the Deans Trophy.

Team coach Jone Tabakau said his players were rattled in the first half by the Waimanu team’s explosive start.

"In the second half I then send in my impact players," he said.

They were Keponi Paul, Orisi Naibuka and Aisea Kucuve.

"We met Waimanu in the pool play and knew they'll be a different side in the final," he added.

Waimanu's strength was felt through players like Filimoni Seru, Adrea Vinivosa and Samuela Kubu.
