Juniors play for pride
The Fiji Times - Thursday, October 29, 2009 5:03 PM
PRIDE for the country would be uppermost in the minds of the Uprising Fiji under-12 players' when they take on Tonga at the National Stadium on Saturday
The team failed to play to the management's expectation in Nausori last week.
However, coach Lasarusa Senibale has promised to deliver an improved performance against the Friendly Islanders
Senibale said they have gone the extra yards in polishing their moves.
He said they was prepared to fire an improved weapon to re-establish their status against the Ikale Tahi team.
"We made several mistakes last week. Now our focus is to defy all odds and prove our worth once more."
"I've told the boys that this is a do or die situation in which everything counts on the field. Tonga is going to be very physical but we're determined to play a good game," he said.
The Tongans sent a stern warning after they demolished the Nasinu Warriors on Wednesday.
Senibale added Tonga would want a win to end the tour on a high note.
"I've told the boys that this would be the last time we're playing together. They know it would not be an easy task and I believe we're prepared for this second match," he said.
The match kicks off at 1pm.
