Fiji thumps England

FIJI has beaten England 31-12 in its opening match at the Adelaide Sevens tournament.

A brace of tries to Setafano Cakau with one each to Timoci Matanavou, William Ryder, and Tomasi Mawi saw the side wallop the English.

England managed to get its tries through Simon Hunt and Kevin Barrett.

Fiji started on a slow pace but played a much better match than the 34-0 loss to New Zealand in the Hong Kong semi-final last weekend.

Fiji will take on France at 3.45pm.
