Fiji to play New Zealand, South Africa meets Samoa

FIJI will meet New Zealand in the semi-finals of the Adelaide Sevens this evening.

In the second semi-final Samoa will play South Africa.

The Josateki Savou coached side had to fight off a spirited Australia performance to beat the hosts 28-7 in the quarter-final.

A brace of tries to speedster Timoci Matanavou and one each to Nasoni Roko, William Ryder and Viliame Maya was enough for the win.

All tries were converted by Ryder.

Australia managed a try to William Bishop.

NZ had to fight tooth and nail to beat Tonga 19-14.

Samoa thumped the Cook Islands 48-0 while South Africa overcame Kenya 19-5.
