FIJI coach Josateki Savou is banking on his players to redeem themselves from the shackles of criticism with a win in the Adelaide Sevens.

The side bounced back to top form yesterday.

Fiji faces Australia today in the cup quarter-final at 2.58pm (Fiji time) and another showdown looming with New Zealand in the semi-final.

In other quarter-finals, New Zealand meets Tonga (2.36pm), South Africa plays Kenya (3.20) and Samoa takes on Cook Islands at (3.42). During pool play, the Digicel-sponsored side beat England 31-12, France 33-12 and Kenya 29-14.

Setefano Cakau was red-carded against Kenya has been suspended for one match by the IRB disciplinary committee.

Savou and his players received a lot criticism after losing to New Zealand at the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.

"Everything is positive in camp. The players have tried to block out the criticism from home," Savou said.

"They've tried their best to get through it (criticisms)."

And I think it showed in their performance today.

"They're eager to settle the score and bring pride back to the nation. We've shifted our focus to the Adelaide Sevens."
