Fiji breezes past Canada

FIJI has won its first match at the London 7s after beating Canada 29-5.
In a good performance, the Fijians managed to start off very strongly in the first half with skipper Marika Vunibaka leading the way.
Vunibaka, halfback Emosi Vucago and solider Iliavi Satala were on the score sheet for Fiji as the side took a 17-0 lead.
Canada hit back on the stroke of half-time with a try to Tony Lacarte as Fiji led 17-5 at the break.
Ra speedster Timoci Matanavou got his name on the score sheet as he crossed over to extend the lead to 22-5.
Canada came back and tried hard to get more points but the Fijians held firm.
Satala got his brace by scoring under the post for the final 29-5 scoreline.
