From bad to worse
The Fiji Times - Saturday, February 02, 2008 6:00 PM
Fiji's nightmare at the Wellington Sevens continued this afternoon when the side lost 19-26 against South Africa in the semi-final of the plate competition.
A poor defensive strategy was Fiji's downfall again as South Africa shot ahead to a 19-5 lead at the breather with Viliame Maya scoring for Fiji.
Young South African sensation Juan De Jhong scored a hat-trick of tries.
Epeli Vuniwaqa and Etonia Naba hit back with tries for Fiji to make it 19-19 but Fabien Juries snatched the winner dancing his way through a flimsly Fijian defence.
