- I just wanted to say that im realy upset to know that william ryder and the legend serevi wasn't included in the 7s squad, which was OUTRAGEOUS...!! and not having them in the squad was probably one of the most ridiculous decission ever made.
So from me and all of the fiji rugby FANS here in ENGLAND and around the world we would like to beg the FRU to bring the two gentlment back into the game.
Please bring them back, coz we can't afford to fall any deeper then we already are at this point.
It seemed like the fiji 7s team that we always love to support and screamed its name out, are somehow seemed slowly fading into the dark, almost like an empty house where nothing else exist but total silence.
I felt that without them in the fiji team was a real SHAME...!!
thanks..

- WELL ITS AND EXCELLENT TEAM AND JUDGING BY THE TEAM THAT WAS PICKED I BELIEVE THAT IT IS ALL GOOD...ITS NOT THE NAMES OR POSITION THAT COUNT BUT THE ABILITY AND THE LOVE FOR THE GAME THAT COUNTS...WHEN YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT SUM THING YOU TEND TO EXCEL IN THAT PARTICULAR ARENA....SO FOR OUR TEAM FIJI GOOD CHOICE, THE EXPERIENCE IS THERE AND THE SUPPORT IS WELL PLAYED...SOO GOD BLESS YOU GUYS....DON'T UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF...KNOW IN YOUR HEART THAT YOU CAN DO THIS WITH CHRIST WHO GIVES YOU RENEWED STRENGTH......STAY BLESSED TEAM FIJI AND SHOW THE WORLD THE WAY THE WORLD SHOULD BE......GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS FIJI!!!!!!!!!

- Go Fiji! While we all know that Fiji will need the experience and guidance of Serevi and Ryder to win, I think it's about time we give the young blood a chance to prove themselves in an international sevens cicuit.
No better time to do it than the beginning of the IRB sevens leg. The new players have proven worthy by reaching the Final with NZ. Remember in 1989 when Fiji lost to NZ with Serevi being the young blood on the team?

- Very good team.I have been watching our 7's rugby team for quite a while and I have noticed that sometimes we tend to focus heavily on our players ability to attack and ignore each player ability to stay in tune with the game in critical stages of the game that usually cause us the game.Im not pointing fingures here but one such player I always pay particular attention to is Neumi Nanuku. His a great attacking player with a lot of skills but if you watch closely his very prone to make wrong judgement when in critical moments of the game.If only the coaches can detect his weakness and improve his shortcomings I will back this team all the way

- they have a good & displine team, there a more new players.watching the last week game, they perform their best, but I think they can do better, go boys now its your turn to prove to Fiji & world that you are the masters of seven.

- i think the team overall played a fantastic tourney. It was disappointing to see that discipline is still an issue and was a major factor in our loss to the kiwis. Even though there was a knock on in the last play by the kiwis I dnt think that was as big of an impact as having 2 players being sin binned. Sure we could have won if the ref had blown the whistle on that one but hey we let the kiwis cruise to a 21-0 lead. Thats jst unacceptable in sevens especially in a final and to a formidable opponent nz. All in all i think they did great but they need to work on their discipline if they want to win the series. So all the best to the boys this weekend. GO FIJI GO
ps: it wud be great if they could win in Hong kong

- Build them up in every tournament for them to loose in the final is a bonus.
Dont acquire to much from them.If they win in this final then we have now know that the mental attitude towards the the game is A plus.
Rotate them for the shake of development not just winning.
Lets biuld people who know how to fit in a team and help it win.
powerful individual in terms of skills fitness, raw talent, right applications of basic priciples of playing, improved in creativity and visonary in the field.
this is the kind of people that we should biuld. we have them, all of them are in our team now, lets biuld and resource them.
Dont forget those non traverling reserves they are the greatest but not the least.
I salute you boys win, win win, even if you loose you still have to win.

- Greetings from the Stallions Den to the team.Make use of this opportunity to develop the team. You all have made us proud in your very first outing, keep it up.Remember the saying "Rome wasn't built in one day". You have taken the first step Savou so go on take the second and build the much needed confidence in the team.Remember to instill discipline in the team as this is lacking and as usual is costing us the games.I am pretty sure you and the team will lift to next level in this George tournament. So GO FIJI GO N GO NUTS. Best wishes to you and the team.

- Savou you are the coach and the right to chose your team but remember you are representing the country called Fiji. We are giving our comments that we hope might be a help in your decision as they always say that two heads is better then one. What you need is more Goneva in the forwards, big, strong, quick and aggresive, hard to put down with clean-cut side steps that only can be seen on Caucaunibuca. My choice is to bring back Setefano into the forwards and put Ryder or Roko on the wing with Goneva, Cakau and the guy from Africa as the forwards and put some more speedster in the backline. Please do not take us back, we are losing that joy-to-watch quality of sevens rugby that was revived by Serevi as we saw in the last tournament. There is no excuse when the materials are here back home who can bring back the glory but even if they lose, they always go down fighting with that spectacular kind of sevens that the fijians are very well known of. Think of us here back home Savou and may God bless you and your team! You will only win if you do the right choice for God supports right things and not wrong.

- What I can smell here is competition between Savou in trying to build something out of nothing to prove to the public that if Serevi can do it so can he. Maybe he should think again in trying to beat Serevi at that or sack this coach. He is trying all the new boys like what happens in 15, what a farce! Do not try to prove yourself and bring in the boys that can do the job. This is not an experimental game because Fiji `s name is on the lineand we fijians do not condone losing when we have here the materials. This boys can`t even tackle or aggressive in ball retaining, they can only pass and run but to defend, they are very weak! As Serevi always says that teams that cannot defend will always lose. There is no specialist speedester and how can Naba be a captain when he is maybe the slowest, biggest and boring forward to watch on the field. C`mon Savou, get real and change your combi, or give back to Serevi the coaching. What you did in the final is unacceptable in keeping back the gutsy boys and sending in first the try luck ones that only bring shame to you and Fiji as a whole. Gutsy, aggresive and discipline boys is what we want and not experimental losers.

- If the Selectors with the endorsement of the FRU management have done their assignments very well then I beleieve the boys are the best players Fiji has at this point in time .For us as aficionados let us remember them in our prayers that our God Almighty to give them strength , abilities, skills and endurance to help them achieve their goal. Go Fiji Go ! Achieve Victory for Gods Glory! God Bless Fiji.

- well, i think the boys selected might jus do the job,m not a psychic but i guess against argentina it would jus bring out the true calibre in the players, jus being optimistic i would jus bet on them to reach the quarter unless they prove otherwise.

- Don't expect much, reaching a quarter final would be bonus for a young bunch. At least give them a chance to taste what is sevens in international level like.Go for it boys!
- Optimist of Rewa Steet
- Hey! What's the big deal? The FRU doesn't get any financial benefit from this tournaments. If the boys wiil be out to do their best, whatever happens will be for the best. At least our rugby players are being introduced and exposed onto the international arena. Look at those who did start their career from this very stage to build and prepare for their rugby future. Not all of them will succeed anyway but lest we not forget that God has a much more important purpose for our lives. Let's rally behind them in this new season to encourage irrespective of outcome. Qo na qito wale ga! Se va'evei?
