Dolphins triumph
Fiji Times - Saturday, May 10, 2008 8:13 AM
NAITASIRI pivot Saula Rabaka led Takalana Dolphins to victory at the Dawasamu Secondary School Sevens tournament yesterday.
The side beat Caucau club, from Dawasamu, 22-10 in the final after leading 15-0 at the breather.
Coached by Rokini Kiliraki, the Dolphins were laced with players from the champion Waimanu club for the two-day rugby tournament.
Assisting former Fiji Bati scrum-half Rabaka was former Fiji sevens training squad member Sakenasa Aca.
Aca was part of the Josateki Savou's Fiji sevens training squad for the first two legs of the 2007/2008 IRB Sevens World Series.
Also part of the team was Kiliraki's younger brother Semisi Muakalou, Kafaele Tokona, Jona Kaira and Keni Raceva.
The team received a timely sponsorship on Thursday when former team member Josefa Bau donated their jerseys for the tournament.
Bau is a young entrepreneur who owns Dolphin Watching in Fiji, which is situated at Takalana Bay Resort in Dawasamu.
Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua had donated rugby balls and water bottles to the team.
